1st day

Athens - Vergina - Thessaloniki

Morning departure for Thessaloniki with intermediate stops. Visit to Vergina and the new Museum, under the big Tomb with the royal tombs and the invaluable finds. This town of Imathia is believed to be located on the site of ancient Aigai, capital of ancient Macedonia, hence the findings from the sanctuaries and tombs of the ancient city. Transfer, accommodation at the hotel HOLIDAY INN 4 * in Thessaloniki. Dinner.

2nd day

Pozar Baths - Edessa - Thessaloniki

Breakfast and excursion to the famous Pozar Baths, at the foot of Mount Kaimaktsalan. Stop for coffee next to the springs of the river with the thermal waters. We continue for the green Edessa, with the dominant liquid element and the many rivers. Visit to the park with the famous Karano Waterfalls, the largest in Greece, and the old town of Varosi. Return to Thessaloniki, where we will have free time for a walk in the city center. Dinner.

3rd day

Rupel Fort - Lake Kerkini - Thessaloniki

Breakfast and visit to the historic Metaxa-Istibei Fortress line, following the route to Promachonas - Rupel. We will be guided to the Military Museum and parts of forts, to the largest fortification complex along the Greek-Bulgarian border. We continue to Lake Kerkini, an important wetland. Possibility to tour the lake by boat (optional). Information from the special team and time for lunch. Return to the hotel. Dinner.

4th day

Thessaloniki - Athens

After breakfast we will tour the city center where we will see the patron saint Agios Dimitrios, the White Tower, the Beach, Ano Poli etc. Return route and  Arrival in Athens late in the afternoon.
